The City of Montgomery Beautification and Tree Commission has awarded the 2019 Spring Seasons of Beauty award to Joel and Kathy Sorger of Hartford Hill Lane.

As the weather turns warmer, the Sorger’s front yard is bursting with spring colors of both annual and perennial varieties. Three window boxes have been planted with seasonal pansies in shades of purple and yellow which adorn the large windows on the top and bottom of the home. The front yard is anchored by two large, blooming, white pear trees and highlighted with yellow daffodils at the base. A smaller white dogwood was planted in the center of the yard in front of the home’s large picture window. On the north side of the house is a weeping redbud in lighter purple bloom. The result is a beautiful display of spring colors that peaked during mid-April.

The Seasons of Beauty award recognizes homes in Montgomery with special front yards, window boxes, and planters that peak during certain seasons as well as those homes with decorative features that celebrate the “season” or holiday.
