Montgomery City Council has selected Management Partners as the consulting firm to conduct the search to fill the city manager position, which became vacant following Wayne Davis’ departure to become city manager of the City of Centerville.
This selection was made after City Council interviewed three highly-qualified professional search firms focused on public sector executive recruiting.
“We are delighted to work with Management Partners on this important search for the next city manager,” explained Mayor Chris Dobrozsi. “Management Partners is very familiar with the City of Montgomery, its work culture, and the community, having assisted the City on numerous strategic planning processes. We are confident that their team will help us find the best, most qualified candidates.”
Management Partners’ initial work will include establishing the process and timeline with the goal to finalize the selection process in January 2018.
City Council has appointed longtime City employee and Public Works Director Brian Riblet as interim city manager to lead the City during the transitional period. Davis’ last day with the City of Montgomery was August 20, 2017. Davis began his new position with the City of Centerville on August 21, 2017.
