DULLE PARK: Nature & Activity
A 12.5 acre park located at 10530 Deerfield Road, Dulle Park is well connected to neighboring houses by ample sidewalks. Facilities at this diverse park include two baseball fields (t-ball), one soccer, lacrosse or ultimate frisbee field, two tennis courts (newly resurfaced), one basketball court, Terwilliger year-round lodge, picnic shelter, playground, walking trail, creek, and perimeter trail.
Located within Dulle Park is the Terwilliger Lodge, the City’s largest rental lodge available for wedding receptions, graduations or other parties. The lodge seats 85 guests at tables or 120 with chairs only. Rentals are $350/day on a weekend or holiday and $150-175 during the week for a day or partial day. The lodge includes a fireplace and a deck which overlooks the park, making it an excellent venue for both winter and summer events. A shelter is available for smaller summer events. The shelter is located next to the playground, walking path and creek. All shelters in Montgomery can be reserved at no cost by calling (513) 891-2424. Lodges can be reserved online.
The park’s perimeter path has recently been resurfaced with natural materials, making for a nice walk from the creek and shelter to the wooded area behind the tennis courts. The 1/2 mile perimeter trail includes a scenic setting for a wooden bridge. Several benches line the trail, offering users a place to rest and enjoy the beauty around them. The paved trail near the playground and creek has been expanded with a natural path to make a complete loop.
Dulle Park is used by the Sycamore Baseball and Softball Association for the youngest age group. Year-round rest rooms are located near the baseball fields on the lower level of the Terwilliger Lodge.
The 2008 Park Study outlines plans to improve reforestation in Dulle Park and to resurface the basketball court. Other improvements in the Park Study have already been completed at the park, including resurfacing the tennis courts and adding the loop to the perimeter trail.
