Take me fishing!
In the good old summertime, you may hear the expression, ‘Take me fishing’! Fishing in Montgomery is only a short walk away at both Swaim and Pioneer Parks. The ponds at both Swaim and Pioneer are annually stocked with fish including bluegill, catfish, and bass. One fisherman caught and promptly released back into the pond, a forty pound shovelhead carp! Fishing licenses are not required to fish in Montgomery parks but you should contact the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for more information about fishing license requirements in other areas.
