Earnings Tax Office

The Earnings Tax Office administers and manages the collection of City income tax, audits City income tax returns and enforces the City tax code. The Tax Commissioner is Rebecca Wellbrock and she can be contacted at (513) 891-2424 or by fax at (513) 891-2994.

The City of Montgomery Earnings Tax Office provides taxpayer assistance regarding local income tax issues, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but offers extended hours during the tax season.

As a Montgomery resident, you are responsible for paying additional taxes if the tax rate where you work is less than 1%, OR if you have not been fully withheld on your qualifying wages.

The filing deadline for calendar taxpayers is April 15th. Extensions may, upon request, be granted for filing of the annual return, provided an IRS extension has been secured. Extension requests must be made in writing and received by the Montgomery Tax Office before the original due date of the return. Only those extension requests received in duplicate with a self-addressed, postpaid envelope will have a copy returned after being appropriately marked. Please mail to:
