The office of the City Manager includes the general administrative staff, as well as the Volunteer Office. The City Manager's Office is located at 10101 Montgomery Road, Montgomery, OH 45242 and can be reached directly by calling City Hall at (513) 891-2424.
The City Manager is appointed by City Council and serves as the Chief Executive Officer and head of the administrative branch of the City of Montgomery. The manager is appointed by City Council and is responsible for the proper administration of all the affairs of the City, the supervision of all City departments, preparation of the annual operating budget and oversight of financial condition, and the enforcement of all laws and Ordinances within the City. She is also responsible for the appointment and removal of all city personnel, serves as the contracting agent for the city government and assists City Council through the proposal of policy measures and initiatives for its consideration.
The Assistant City Manager serves as an extension of the City Manager's functions and also provides human resources, risk management, and public relations functions for the City. The assistant manager is also responsible for the supervision of the Recreation & Volunteer service functions of the City.
The Administrative Coordinator serves as the Clerk of Council, is responsible for all bidding and contracting, financial management, and provides general administrative and technical support to all departments in the City organization.
The part-time Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the City's volunteer program which matches local community volunteers with the needs of the City on both a short-term and continuing basis.
The Executive Secretary and Receptionist provide general clerical support to the administrative/City Manager's office, provide general information about the City and its facilities and services, handle complaint resolution and other specialty services for the office and the citizens of Montgomery.
