Located at the corner of Cooper and Zig Zag Roads

National Register Building

The first residents of the house were James and Susan Wilder who arrived from Rhode Island with six children. William Swaim, who was principal of Montgomery School, purchased the property in 1917. Mr. Swaim's daughter married Delbert Todd, and they changed the farm into an eighteen hole golf course in 1933. In 1976, the golf course was sold for a residential development. The City of Montgomery purchased the house and thirteen acres for a park. The house was restored by the City and civic organizations in the area. It is now the home of the Montgomery Historical Society.
