Located at 7850 Remington Avenue

This landmark was built for James Lloyd Smethurst who was a carpenter by trade, and who also worked for the Cincinnati, Lebanon, and Northern Railroad. He was elected Montgomery's first mayor in 1910. This house originally sat at the northwest corner of Remington and Montgomery Roads. It was moved to its current location in 1987 to save it from demolition.
