4th Annual Fun Recycling Art Sculpture Contest

July 12, 2008, Noon — 8 p.m. at Universalist Church

The City of Montgomery and its Environmental Advisory Commission is committed to educating residents about the importance of recycling. This contest is a means of encouraging recycling and purchase of items made from or packaged in recyclable materials. The Montgomery recycling contest was initiated to give people an opportunity to use their creativity and develop a sculpture that not only educates those who see it about the value of recyclable materials, but also allows them to receive a prize for their creativeness. City, Twin Lakes work cooperatively on expansion

Bastille Day Celebration, July 12

Montgomery will celebrate its 19th year of its “sister city” relationship with Neuilly-Plaisance, France, by celebrating the French holiday of Bastille Day on July 12. From noon until 11 p.m., the Downtown area will be transformed into a French environment featuring a daylong mingling of fun, food, drinks and entertainment for the entire family. (more...)

Planning study recommends zone change

After an analysis of property between Marketplace Lane and the Montgomery Safety Center, a planning consultant has recommended that the City implement changes to ensure that there is proper transitioning of land uses along this section of the Montgomery Road corridor. (more...)
